Sunset shadow sliding across the sand
Chad Doveton from United Kingdom 28 Jul 2007, 13:40
This is a terrific image. I have never been to Tenby but feel I must go after seeing this. That smooth expanse of sand acts as a superb canvas for the setting sun to reveal the outline of the buildings on the shore. The small island also adds interest to this picture.
Christian Brown: Thanks Chad, Tenby is loverly, however if you go ther just to see this you will have to keep your eyes peeled, as I saw this picture I thought 'I'll get the camera out in a minute' as I was going something else at the time, but then I thought 'it might have changed by then' and right enough it had more than changed, it had gone! You can't stop the falling sun! The next stage of the image is to draw in the window of the buildings on to the sand in real time in video, but I'm not fit enough to run around like a lunatic.

echoes of John Dilwyn Llewellyn in this one (other than the car obv)
Christian Brown: Is he Laurence's brother? Funnily enough there is a man with a horse drawn carrage in Tenby who does his tourist trail right past that car and i know now that the 'island is called St' Cathrines Island and the building you can see on it is a fort, built in the 19th century when we had abit of trouble with the French!' because that what he says! everytime! I know the island as a zoo where I once saw some monkeys playing with themselves! We had very classy school trips at Ystrad Tywi!
