The night before the June full Moon while on our holidays a few weeks ago in Tenby. The headland is Rhosilli and Worms Head on the Gower, only 14 miles away but 70 miles by foot or car and only minutes by helicopter, we know this as I watched the lifeguard chopper cross the bay then circled over south beach before return back in a flash.

fab shot Chris
Christian Brown: Thanx bro, it was partly inspired by something I'm sure you told me yonks ago, and that is Ansel Adam's Moonrise picture was a double exposure, which I interpreted as two separate images merged into one. This is three images merged into one, the boats were in front of Rhosilli in the same line of sight but on different days but the Moon actually rises out of Cornwall, but that land mass was too slight for this composition so I moved it, that what the artist license is for!!

Most definitely did not tell you this, the original negative exists, including an outtake with less dramatic lighting on the buildings in the foreground. Adams was a perfectionist, and I've seen an interview of him talking about the shoot which confirms the above.
