photoblog image startrite fireworks
I was going to go to the fireworks in Carmarthen Park with Gran and Otto, and I was going to take pictures of the fireworks in the relative calm of knowing Otto was being looked after by Gran! BUT Lola found out about the plan and wanted to come too, (Alison is out of action due to a lurrgy that is doing the rounds!) So Lola came as well, but I did manage to take some picture, but no corkers, so here is a 'startrite' moment caught on the way back to the car. The first half of the display was crap partly due to waiting 20 minutes on top of the 10 minute being early and in position, not fun with cold kids! Then we wondered through the masses who all thought they had right of way! Then Otto wanted to go on a big boys ride, and I was carrying a rig with 2 cameras! and the push chair was over loaded with stuff. The second half was the mutts nuts, but by then the kids had passed their threshold of well being, so we left early, by what I thought was the quickest route possible but some gonk thought it wise to lock that gate, then we back tracked to the main gate and the same dull gonk had cordoned off the grass from the tarmaced path, so we had to walk around to another exit from the grass first, and push the chair four times as far as I'd rather with two tiring children. But Otto and Lola did seem to enjoy themselves even if it did get late for a school night. Needless to say the pictures of the fireworks didn't come out too good! I might try again in Burry Port harbour on Saturday.
