photoblog image Ice block

Even though the snow and compressed ice has now melted here in west Wales I found a solid block of ice at least 120mm thick in a bucket out in the garden. So I tried to capture it before it has left us again as water!

Fab, can I have a few of these so I can use them as 'textures'

Thanks for the book btw!
Christian Brown: Ice is difficult to photograph, especially when the sun is low and bright, when everything in the garden is abit dirty or not clean, and the kids want me inside just when I thought I had two minutes spare to waste taking pictures instead of going loopy as they have been ill all week and off school and I need to re-jig the kitchen before Christmas too, as the tumble drier, fridge, dishwasher and freezer have all died in the last couple of months! Of course you can have a 'texture' or what I call a bookend (but I mean endpage of a book, inside the covers) For a price! a dead D70? if the flash still works off the trigger. I have been trying out a long set up using a flash and a snoot during a 30 second exposure and thought that using the flash on my dead D70's would be usable, but as the shutter won't work the flash won't fire either! I just thought that this might get some life from the old thing!! I'm glad you like the book.

Have been in to the Bullring again today . We were worried about the forecast but decided to risk it , got inside and forgot all about it , came out to find cars etc covered in a layer of snow ! Luckily the roads were fine. Had lovely late lunch at 5pm in Yo Sushi ! X
