I have made a bracket to hold an umbrella over the camera so that the next time it rains, I won't have the same problem as last time I set up to do time lapse video. To see the last problem watch this? N.B. the first 10 second are supposed to be black! http://vimeo.com/21045227
Time lapse video of trees being removed with a crane one wintery day last year. Having stood still or next to the camera for many hours I got cold feet and hungry so when to get some hot food, in the few minutes of leaving the site with my camera (as there was no security) it had started snowing. So I re-set up the camera and continued with a make shift umbrella/cover of an Ikea bag and a manfrotto magic arm. Checked that view point was still good and carried on, only to find later that the bag had sagged and crept into shot! Then just as the snow got heavy I had to abort the project and resume to my primary function and fetch the children from school which had closed due to the snow.
